Capcom. Capcom’s main claim to fame is being behind the popular games Resident Evil and Street Fighter, making them $950 million dollars last year.
Konami. Founded back in 1969, Konami created such franchises as Pro Evolution Soccer and Metal Gear Solid. These rewarded them with a total of 1 billion dollars.
Square Enix. The company was formed after a merge between the two companies, you guessed it, Square and Enix. After publishing games like Tomb Raider and Hitman, they managed to bag themselves $1.5 billion dollars.
Ubisoft. If you’ve ever come across some form of technology, you’ve seen one of Ubisoft’s games. With huge names like Assassin’s Creed and Far Cry, it’s no surprise that they came out with 1.6 billion by the end of the year.
Sega. After a large tumble in the company’s success, Sega brought themselves back to life with a massive worldwide hit, ‘Sonic the Hedgehog’, which single handedly saved their company, earning them 3.33 billion dollars last year.
Electronic Arts. EA’s game, FIFA, is a one man team when it comes to profit. Although Electronic Arts has a wide variety of sports games, FIFA has brought them to the stage they’re at now, with 12.1 billion in revenue.
Nintendo. Despite being a thing of the past, the legendary games, Mario and Donkey Kong will never be forgotten and are still earning Nintendo 14.6 billion dollars even now.
Activision Blizzard. A merge between Activision and Blizzard Entertainment sparked the start of something amazing. After recently buying Candy Crush and Call of Duty, along with their iconic games, World of Warcraft and Diablo, this army of huge sellers gave the company a total of 16.3 billion dollars.
Sony. It’s very unlikely you’ve never encountered a Playstation, since they’re the longest selling consoles on the market, with almost every gamer wanting to get their hands on the next in the franchise. This totalled them at 17.5 billion dollars.
Finally, to the winners far and beyond any other gaming company’s revenue, I present Microsoft Studios. Better known for the Windows operating system, the gaming branch has managed to bring in a mind-blowing 37.2 billion dollars in 2015.
